Congratulations!

This is Jaida. She is a Clydesdale cross rescued by Amy T. back in the fall. She is about 18 years old, was sick with pneumonia when she arrived, and was not in great shape but is doing much better now. What Jaida has probably known all along, and no one else knew until last week, is that she is going to be a mommy! No one knows who the dad is so it will be interesting to see what she has. She is due sometime around May or June this year. We all have to send her our best wishes. Because of her age, and various health issues, this is not going to be the easiest time for Jaida. She has a problem with one hock and may also have EPSM (like Scooby). She already has trouble getting up when she lies down (sound familiar???), and it will be harder as she gets heavier and approaches her due date. So even though Jaida does not live here at DHF, I'm putting her on our site so you can all wish her the best. I'll let you know how she does and what she has when the time comes.....
