We are back in the deep freeze for the next week or so. Almost everyone has blankets and quite frankly it's a pain in the neck. I timed it today, it took me 45 - 50 minutes to get everyone blanketed and turned out in the morning and another half hour or so to unblanket in the evening! But it's better than having to keep them in because of the cold...


Sara and Brodie stayed last night again while Amy and Jeremy were away. They'll stay again next Saturday night and then Jeremy's Golden Gloves boxing will be over. He has so far won both fights he was in! It's a tough life for Sara and Brodie when they are here as you can see.















Sundance is trying to make me crazy again. I looked out the window yesterday morning and he was up on the hill on Scooby's side of the fence!!! So I went to the barn to get his halter and find out what happened. It was obvious by looking at the ground what had happened. He lay down to roll and it was slippery so he couldn't get up again. He struggled for a while and slid under the fence onto Scooby's side where he struggled a little more and was finally able to get up (thank goodness!). Then he just mosied on up the hill... Chris helped me catch him. He was soaked with sweat and snow on one side so we toweled him off as best we could and I put his blanket on him. I worry he's going to do that some day when I'm not home and I'll come home to find him too late... He just doesn't seem to remember that he's old and has trouble getting up even when it's not slippery! For now, he will wear his blanket and hopefully that will discourage him from rolling!

I gave Ziegy a new toy to play with this afternoon. It was an old saddle pad and he loved it as you can see!!! What fun!!!!!!!
